Extract data with ease
It's impossible to include every detail in your BIM protocol to prevent modelers from unknowingly making mistakes. When adding data to a BIM model, different languages, abbreviations and typos are inevitable. In order to smooth out these differences, you can define Smart Properties, to get a predictable outcome for consistent model validation.
Another problem is that values can be found in different attributes for different elements. For example, for one element volume is defined in base quantities, and for another element it’s located under dimensions. With Smart Properties you can create a common value for each element, which will be easier when extracting data with Lists.

What is the difference between BIMcollab Zoom and BIMcollab Zoom free?
BIMcollab Zoom free is our basic version of the BIMcollab Zoom software. When you purchase a license, you get access to additional beneficial features such as data extraction, rule based clash detection, flexible grouping of clash-results, automated clash management with Smart Issues, and more.

Do I need a paid BIMcollab Zoom license for this course?
Yes. Smart Properties is a feature of a paid BIMcollab Zoom license. If you do not have a paid license, you can sign up for a 30 day trial here.
Is there homework to complete?
There is no homework or assignments. However, you will be required to pass a final exam to receive the certificate of knowledge.
What happens if I fail the exam?
To pass the exam, you need a grade of 80% or higher. If you fail, you may continue to study and take it as many times as you need.
How long will I have access to the course material?
